Encounter With Venus Raj

    It's my first time to see the Ms. UNIVERSE 2010 4th Runner-Up Ms. Venus Raj and I would consider it as a memorable experience because She's one of the many TV Personalities that I admire most due to her simplicity, perseverance and determination on things that she have to act upon and I think she's funny too. And for staying humble towards the success that she have had and to the recognition that she brought in the country after she won the 4th place on the Ms. Universe pageant after 10 years that Philippines hadn't joined the top 15.
   It's very obvious, that she is God-oriented. And she gives much importance to her family, which is one of the factors that makes me admire a certain person.
   Going back to the encounter, she is darker than to what I have expected, she's tall and thin, some of my friends who saw her too says that she looks like a darker Barbie Doll. And personally, after seeing her, I would definitely say that black is beauty.
  She went to our school, Liceo de Cagayan University for a seminar related to the victims of the typhoon "Sendong" who currently hit the city.
   This experience was also funny, because we were having a class when she arrived and we left our teacher inside the classroom and almost all of my classmates run to her, but I guess no one from our class saw her. In fact, one of my male classmate sneak out from our class just to see her, and he came back a minute before we were dismissed.
   I was happy for the fact that, seeing actors or celebrities is not usual to me, and seeing one of them is considerably an achievement. After our class we went to the room where she is,  but unfortunately, the security personnel wouldn't allow us to come inside the room, so we've crowd the window. But, although I just saw her from the window I was really staring at her and took some picture using my cellphone but those are so blur.

   Indeed, she made me/us smile for a while  and actually I will always be her fan!

Fireproof A Reflection The book of Psalms 18:28 said, “For you will light my lamp; the Lord will enlighten my darkness.” For all the verses I know in the bible I believe this was the one who can best relate on the film, Fireproof. The film, as what I have understood, is a story of a couple caught in a complicated situation of their marriage. Misuderstanding, miscommunication and misadjustments worsen their situation. The woman who feels being unappreciated and the man who doesn't feel validated at home were left facing a dilemma between to pursue a divorce or to find a chance to regain their marriage vows.
